Canceling the auto-renewing membership is also complicated, requiring unclear instructions or sending written mail, making it frustrating for users to stop payments.

The platform is known for using fake "entertainer" profiles, designed to engage users but rarely leading to real-life meetups. A lot of the useful features on Badults can only be accessed by paying for a premium subscription. You can only reply to the messages in your inbox if you have a subscription. On the payment page, it states that your subscription will be automatically renewed for the period of your original subscription (e.g. if you subscribed for 6 months, you will be charged another 6 months). Once you've subscribed, cancelling your membership is going to be difficult. The process is not stated directly on the payment page, which is already a red flag in and of itself. You will only find the cancellation process in the fine print through the link labeled "payment processor" under the subscribe button. Apparently, you would have to send a written letter or an email to Badults' third-party payment processor called Webbilling. This is only how cancellation of memberships will be entertained. Webbilling's email is usersupport@webbilling.com while their mailing address is WB Technical Services B.V., Celsiusweg 32 - 58, 5928 PR Venlo, The Netherlands.
Male users are offered 3 types of premium memberships plus coins which could be used to unlock different features. Female users, on the other hand, don't have to subscribe to a premium membership. Most of the features are free for them, but they can still buy coins.
The website is still generally successful in Australia though, where it gains 200,000 visitors every month.

As soon as you have created your account (which only has your gender and username so far), you will immediately see notifications of 3 - 5 new messages in your inbox. Two of them will be from their customer support, while the others are already invitations for meet-ups and sex — even though your profile is still technically empty. If this doesn't raise suspicions yet, there is a box at the bottom of the homepage that states, in very small font:
"Based on your profile information, you will receive contact suggestions, but of course you can also search for them yourself. The profiles of the portal are partially fictitious (marked accordingly with (C) and *, respectively), agreements and real meetings are therefore not possible with these profiles. If you have found a nice man or a nice woman, then you can contact the person via a private message or a kiss. "
Again with the entertainers. Badults uses fake, gorgeous profiles to send you messages encouraging chatting and dates. When you attempt to send a reply, you are redirected to the payment page, because it turns out, messaging is only for premium members. At this point, the regular, unfortunate John Doe would have eagerly paid for a subscription just to keep chatting with this beautiful woman, only for it to never lead into anything in the real world. As Badults have said themselves, "agreements and real meetings are not possible with these profiles". Be careful before putting your financial information in this site: double-check and make sure that you're talking to a real person.
Profiles on Badults don't have a lot of available fields to showcase information. It only shows relationship status, zodiac sign, place of residence, and a short blurb about oneself. Below that, there are pre-written questions from Badults which the user has answered; this aims to help you gain insight into that person's personality. Lastly, there is a section for the user's personal data, which is more of a summary of their physical characteristics. It may seem like a lot in writing, but visually, there is much to be desired (see photo above).
As repeatedly stated before, there are "entertainers" — profiles which are created by Badults themselves who may message you to encourage user interaction on the site. These profiles are either marked by a C or a * symbol. So far, we have only seen the profiles with * symbols on our test. They are displayed quite prominently on the left side of the webpage, and they are, indeed, one of the first users to send a message to new accounts. The profile photos are either of gorgeous brunettes and blondes or extremely explicit photos of private parts. The one thing all these entertainer profiles have in common is they're all meant to be appealing to users, one way or another. You should avoid these types of profiles because no matter how attractive they are or how much money you spend, it will never lead you to anything.
Badults has unique features that are both entertaining and educational in their own ways.
The Badults Glossary of Sexual Terms provides the meaning of different words and terms that you might come across during your time at Badults. This is the health class you wish you had, and it would do you good to keep an open mind while browsing through the entries. The Badults Glossary is extremely NSFW though, so take care not to read it in public.
"It’s Loveline meets Ask Polly." In this Ask Dr. Love type of section in the website, you can ask anything and everything sex-related under the sun. Not a single topic is off-limits (except, perhaps, those that are against federal law) for Badults' in-house sex and dating expert, Shannon. There are a variety of questions here, ranging from "My boyfriend doesn't get pre-cum. Is this normal?" to "Should I let my wife pee on me?".
